Goodwood Park Hotel for meeting

Headed over to Goodwood Park Hotel this afternoon to attend a townhall meeting and when entering the premise, I noticed a statue of Khoo Teck Puat.

I feel bad for not knowing my history well. I feel guilty for not being knowledgeable to every thing that is happening around the world. Being away from Singapore for seven years is not an excuse that I would accept for all these.

So, after doing some google search on KTP, I manage to know more about him.

- Founder of Maybank
- Was the largest single shareholder of Britain's Standard Chartered Bank.
- Owned Goodwood Park Hotel in London and Singapore.
- Malaysian, Australian, Singaporean.

So, I thought Tim Tam is only available in Australia but I found this Choco Vanilla Tim Tam in Sun Plaza Shopping Centre.
"Made in Indonesia" was stated on the packaging.
And it's cheaper than purchasing from Isetan Supermarket.

I seriously hate the morning rush and the 'kiasu-ness' of the commuters in Singapore. There are reasons why arrows are being placed on the floor but people in Singapore tend to ignore it.

In addition, when the trains arrived, these type of people (who blocked the entrances/exits to the train) do not have the tendency to move back or give way to others that wish to board or get off the trains.

No wonder Singapore was rated in the bottom 10 by Readers' Digest survey of World's most courteous cities, previously.

This uncle (taxi driver) must have enjoyed speeding when he was young. When the sign board showed to slow down to 80km/h.... he was actually going on xxx km/h !! Smooth ride though.

Sinful Dinner

Ann arrived to Singapore from Australia on Friday and we decided to meet up for dinner yesterday. Ann is in fact the first Singaporean colleague that I ever had when I worked in Woolies (not forgetting that Singaporean Michael which I never like to have conversations with. Opsie!)
